So this morning I woke up and we had a full table at breakfast... Raffa, Giorgio, Nic, Grandma, Claudio, and myself. It was nice. ;) I left the kids with Grandma and went to the International Cinema Festival for a couple of hours.
I knew there was a small bus that takes people to the festival, but wasn't sure how long it would take to get there, it took 1 hour. I was 15 minutes late to the movie, but it was pretty easy to follow anyway. Followed a young boy through a summer in 1980 when it was still fighting Communism a little and there is a story/Italian legend that progresses the plotline, lining up with the boy's story... showing you things in the legend also in the film. Some good underlying messages in the film and a good 'coming of age' story.
When I got back, Nic, Claudio, and Adriano were playing FIFA on the Wii... I read some while they played... Adri doesn't like playing as Italy, so he was doing his best to make them lose... it was funny. After Adri and Claudio left, it was close to dinner and we did some playing, some homework... then after dinner, the "adults" went out to the theatre and Nic and I watched the 2nd Lord of the Rings... Basically, incase you were unaware... it is a 2hour 45minute movie... and for a 9 year old kind of long... but he said all the good movies are long... so he still likes it... even though, "That Gollom guy is creepy."... yes, yes he is.
Hokay... next post to come soon, promise!
MAI MAI!
Glad to see you're having a great time in Italy!
