I got a new pen today. It is awesome, it writes so beautifully and I'm so happy to have it. YAY! I also ran my 2.2 mile circuit this morning with the intent of improving my second 'lap' by 2 minutes... there was a lot of mud, it was hard... I ended up only improving it by 30 seconds.
I watched the new episode of GLEE today. I also bought the GLEE version of 'Teenage Dream' today. ;) I probably listened/sang it 15 times today.
Nonna Giancarla also taught me how to cook some things today! We hung out in the kitchen and talked while she explained some recipes to me and the Italian way of cooking. Words of wisdom... "You can't be stressed when you cook, pasta(breads) knows how you feel. You can't be in a rush, or stressed." While cooking, we talked about travelling, experiencing new cultures, how foreigners shouldn't enter a culture and want to change it, but embrace the culture they're entering. We talked about immigration, music, and obviously, cooking. For dinner we had beef wrapped around ham and veggies (possibly the best meat I've had yet) We also had warm chestnuts, zucchini/carrots, egg pasta, and some vegetable I don't know the name of but we dipped it in Olive oil and salt. All of this with fresh pizza bianchi and wheat bread (pane integrale)...mmm... then I had some candy corn for dessert. ;)
For lunch I went to a supermarket deli (intimidating) and bought fresh turkey and pizza bianchi and made a sweet sandwich. (I also bought a apple cinnamon flavored candle and now my room smells like Christmas, an improvement from the previous smell of sweaty shoe. ;)

ummm... I was late to class today because I waited with a classmate, for another classmate who may leave Italy and go back home because her family is mean, I'm pretty lucky. At class I was told we're supposed to make a food from our home country and bring it on the 8th of Dec [Mom, can you send me Grandma's Apple Cake recipe? I don't have it memorized anymore].
Then I came home and had a sandwhich and talked with Anita for about 15 minutes, I understood ALMOST everything! (Marco, 7 years old, went on a 3 day field trip to Toscana with his class. I NEVER HAD AN AWESOME FIELD TRIP LIKE THAT!!! TO TOSCANA ;) Later, Nic/Claudio and I went to the Gameshop and painted for an hour (2 figures finished) and then I came home and did not help Nonna with the cooking (I asked, she said no) so I went upstairs and played with the kids... then we ate some ravioli in broth (YUM), some polpetti(std. yum), then upstairs for some more playing (Nic hit his face against the hardwood floor after jumping over the couch, he will likely have a nice bruise on his cheek) then bed... with an ice pack.
All in all... just another day in the life of a really, really Blessed guy. :)
