Oo- Something Shiny

Ottobre 4, 2010

I ran today. 6 miles. Nothing particularly long, but my achilles tendon was still recovering from the 1/2 marathon so I only did the short run and will be doing all my abs and chest at the flat for the rest of the week to give my body some time to recover.

It's getting harder and harder to do this blog... without internet I have to do it twice basically. For some reason I would rather put it off to do later when it is not getting posted directly to the internet. That, however, makes me forget some things and when I do come back to write them, I'm not even sure if it's the first time I've written it... it all sounds familiar... I probably think about it subconciously before I write it throughout the day... but if this is repeated... feel free to skim... like I'm sure most of you do anyway. ;)

So after that, I spent a while working on the computer, called the telephone company, got some information that I thought would fix my problems, it did not... I'm still trying to find my way around the difficulty of speaking over the phone to people who can't understand me and I can only understand a little of what they say... but it's coming along. So after a long fought battle, I suspend the onslaught temporarily and distract myself elsewhere before I throw the computer or router in frustration... (at this time the CD drive in my computer doesn't want to work either and that makes downloading the software from the wireless CD difficult). I go into Roma and look around at some of the shops. Much more enjoyable than not knowing what you're doing but doing it anyway with no results. ;)

When Nic and Lavi get home we do some math and some Italian... the math is fairly easy, but they get distracted easily... Lavi ends up having to leave to go to her pop music dance class so I make Nic finish upstairs since he has catichism tomorrow. After dinner downstairs (delicious pesto from Nonna in Genova), there's some more homework done then back upstairs.

Giorgio has been working on the computer a bit and wants to get the technicians from work to look at the connection but he also asks me if I can check the routers (new and old) downstairs to make sure it's not the ISP (internet service provider[i didn't know that before this whole ordeal]) and not actually the router. I hope this isn't the case because the new router was apparently expensive and that would mean they spent the money for nothing.

I go to McD's again and check my emails and facebook and such... then get a bit lost trying to take a more direct route home that actually is not very direct... but made it back safe.

Hey Mr. Internet, I know a song from a great '70's Disney movie called the parent trap... "Let's get together, yeah yeah yeah..."

peace love rock and roll.
