Good Eats, without Alton Brown

Settembre 12, 2010

This morning I woke up, dressed in my dapper fitted shirt with awesome new tie and some good looking slacks and headed to church. I was there a little early after worrying I'd be late because I was "helping" Nico with his Italian homework. (I was watching him do it while Raffa helped him) The service was great, it covered loving your enemies and even sinners love each other, but only children of God are called to love each other as well as sinners and to not judge one another, that's God's job. God doesn't want us taking His job... and... that's about all I got out of the service since it was completely in Italian. The scriptures were in English, and that was about it. Maybe next week I'll find one... ;)

When I got back, Nico, Raffa, and I went to eat some Japanese sushi at a place nearby. I had spicy tuna and Nico and Raffa split a wide variety of things... it was good sushi, the second best I've ever had(Piranhas in Austin is AMAZING). Then we headed back to the flat, Nico wanted to go to the pool so they went. It was a private pool and I did not have the appropriate swim attire so I could not go this time. (Note to self, get bathing cap for bald head and flipflops for pool deck) I stayed at home and read some Detective Holmes... I love Sir Doyle...

When everyone got home later, Raffa made some more of the homemade pasta her friend Maria had made, (bellisimo) and some pork chops with rosemary that were delicious. She thought they needed to be cooked more, I disagreed, politely of course, and I said they were tasty and not over done.

Today was relaxing, and tomorrow I got to class to take my Italian language placement test. I think there are four levels, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and why am I taking this class... or something like that... I'm hoping that I get put in the intermediate class but if I'm in the beginner class I guess that'll be ok too... I just need to practice more...

Ok that's all for now. Night everyone!!
